She was born on April 1, 1999. Yes she's a fools baby :-). Her name is Lunableu. Luna for the Goddess of the Moon and Bleu for the color of her beautiful fur. Lunableu is a solid blue rumpie riser female. For years I had wanted a solid blue female Manx but things never worked out for me. I read
everything I could on the manx breed, asked breeders question, talked about their cats and got involved in discussions with Manx pet owners.
After a year and a half, I came across an ad for a solid blue female rumpie riser Manx. For some reason I had to inquire about her. I TRULY believe this match between Lunableu and myself was destined to be. I rescued her from a breeder whose spouse was abusive to cats. Lunableu, called SPOOKY at that time, was in dire need of someone who could give her a home away from this
abusive situation. Because of Spooky's abuse she became people shy and was going to be put to sleep. Spooky was going to be euthanized because she was unwanted by the many who past her up and without a good home, the breeder felt she shouldn't suffer through life being afraid and unwanted. Who would want a super shy manx that didn't want to be held or near people. She was constantly
passed up. I knew I had to have her, had to bring her into my life. By saving her, I opened up a part of myself to be saved. She needed me to give her life. I was told she would never be friendly, never like humans and always be SPOOKY in some way.
Well I am happy to say that Lunableu is now almost 5 years old, sleeps with me EVERY night, loves to play games with me such as Fetchie, rub my chubby tummy and is getting friendlier every day. She likes to yell at me when its bed time so that I know when to go to sleep. She had shown me that I was
loved unconditionally. I'll always know that Lunableu, my rumpie riser Manx, loves me no matter what. AAnd that's the great thing about pets. They really do love you unconditonally. Without judgements and without criticisms. They don't care if you have makeup on or not. They don't care if your shoes match
your pocketbook that match your eyes. Pets don't care if Sunday is sweat pants day, if you bite your nails or if you like eggs with ketchup. Pets love you for how you treat them and how you make them feel. Just remember they are a reflection of your love. If you think they make you feel wanted, loved
and cherished, just think of how they feel in regards to how you make them feel. I hope you enjoyed the story, for its a true story - J |
